Vlad Feels Misunderstood
This isn’t Vlad’s first appearance, but you could be excused for thinking that, because he hasn’t been seen since December 2010 (here and here). He makes me too nervous to draw very often, if you want to know the truth.

Actually I used to go to a Romanian restaurant and they had pics of him all over the wall. Kind of creepy, and when I told them I knew who it was they gave me pictured of him in a leaflet. I had to admit that they were serious fans of old Vlad, as I backed away slowly…
Romanians resent that the rest of the world now associates their national hero with vampirism, when in fact the real Vlad was much worse than any plain old vampire could ever be.
