Some of these guys are really obsessed with this women-don’t-have-penises thing. Transvestite men dress as women because they’re pretending to be their mothers in order to pretend that their mothers have penises; men watch porn because they wish to “deny the lack of a penis in woman”; female masochism is the result of the little girl’s discovery that she does not have a penis, which makes her hate herself and wish to be punished; it goes on and on. Reading these books gives me a new understanding of Walter Freeman, who wanted to do something about mental illness, for goshsakes, can we please do something about it instead of this endless Freudian storytelling?
