Mary Sue the Vampire Slayer
I know not all urban fantasy is like this. But you know just the type of heroine I mean. They don’t make them any older than twenty-eight.
The way people talk about green eyes in bad fantasy literature, by the way, you’d think I’d be able to shoot fire from my hands or at least get a discount on subway passes. In fairness my eyes are not emerald; they’re more like nephrite.

Bwahaha! Honestly, I have always had that “green eyes == SO COOL” bias. I guess it’s not so much that you can shoot fire, it’s just the in the eye of the beholder, you do. =)
This is so funny and so right on!!!
Linking here as I was blogging about Buffy and age just this morning!!!
Dude, I can TOTALLY shoot fire out of my (green, gold-ringed, no joke) eyes. Just ask the last person who tried to ask for part of my sandwich…
But can the color of your eyes be likened to that of a precious or semiprecious stone? That appears to be key.
This site is so cute it makes my eyes water. Would consider a link exchange? I write SF/vampire fusion books and sell them from my site: http://www.antellus.com/
Well, I think the older heroines simply get one paranormal epic danger they can die in the good fight for. Preferably inspiring the next 18 year old to pick up the sword and black leather… much like superheroes do ^^
i trying to find out what is a mary sue?? thanks
