Small Peculiar

From the online version of Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary, the standard in America’s publishing industry—not the Unabridged, mind you, though I checked and this typo is in that version’s entry as well. I’ve often found errors in published material, but this is the first time I’ve found one in a dictionary. It’s something of a consolation after my birthday.
